Brio is quite possibly the oldest brand we stock here at Crayons. Specialising in Wooden Educational Toys for children, Brio started in 1884 in Sweden. Yes thats right 1884, its not a typo!! And the experience shows, Brio is the name that all other wooden train sets follow. There are many knock offs, but none have matched the versatility and extension capability that Brio set forth well over 100 yrs ago!
Brio's train sets are the most popular, and quite rightly given their quality. This is especially obvious when you start to join together track parts made by Brio over the many different years, and different product sets. Nothing comes close to the finish and accuracy, making creative play rewarding as each time a track is built its different. Most importantly the trains pass cleanly over the track, this is something to be very aware of with the knock offs.
